This weekend was the one to get married! When we got home yesterday from our trip to Santa Barbara, my Facebook had blown up with weddings all over the country!
Stoops and I headed to Santa Barbara this weekend to see his long time friends Melanie and Marissa get married. What made it even cooler was that he was officiating the ceremony! The first thing that we had to do was go to the Santa Barbara courthouse so he could get sworn in and get all of the proper paperwork taken care of. I was suprised by how pretty the Santa Barbara Hall of Records was:
That evening, we got to walk around the city a bit and hung out with some cactus. We met up with Stoops' friend Kat and her friend Wood and hung out at the Vila where the wedding would take place the next day.
On Saturday, Stoops and I trekked out to Solvang, CA which is about a half hour north of Santa Barbara. It is well known for being strange. It is set up to look just like a dutch town, complete with windmills and coo coo clock shops.
Then we went back to the villa for the wedding! The villa was gorgeous! It was sprawling with many different levels and pools and lookouts. There was a giant game room with table games and a movie theater!
Stoops had to practice for the ceremony, so he tried a variety of personas:
Here's Stoops and Kat after the ceremony!
And the four of us together:
And the newlyweds! (Stolen from Kat)
That night, there was a gorgeous sunset over the mountains.
A great trip to California!

Beautiful pictures!!! Love 'em!
ReplyDeleteHey, it is so impressive post Melanie and Marissa's Wedding day. The reception looks great. My cousin got married and I wish I could have attended her big day. I couldn’t make it because of my exam. Well, another cousin is also marrying this winter at one of the destination Venues in NYC and I would definitely be the part of that ceremony.
